Overview: "Shrines" is an experimental vaporwave album by American electronic project Infinity Frequencies, released in 2013. The album is composed of fragmented ambient compositions built from degraded media samples, corporate muzak textures, and broadcast-style audio detritus, creating a cohesive atmosphere of liminal nostalgia and technological decay. Spanning 19 short tracks, Shrines avoids traditional song structure in favor of looping, collage-like soundscapes that evoke abandoned commercial spaces, late-night television transmissions, and faded archival media. The album is widely regarded as an early and influential work in the “broken transmission” subgenre of vaporwave and is associated with themes of memory distortion, retrofuturism, and digital melancholy.
My Opinion: Ever since I discovered this album a few months ago, I've found myself listening to it almost every day. My favorite tracks on this album are "Clouds," "Identification," "Breeze," and "Mass Production." I love the way this album sounds like 80s funk and pop, with a blend of modern electronic/house music. However, I do find it annoying that the songs are so short. This is also an album that I feel can be played at any time of day, whether you're restless at 1 in the morning, or you're enjoying some time by your pool. Overall, I rate this album a 7.5/10.

Overview: "Invasion Of Your Privacy" is the second studio album by the American music group Ratt. The Ratt lineup features Bobby Blotzer (drums, percussion), Warren Demartini (lead guitar, backing vocals), Stephen Pearcy (lead vocals), Juan Croucier (backing vocals, bass guitar), and Robbin Crosby (backing vocals, lead guitar). Singles from Invasion Of Your Privacy include: "Lay It Down," "What You Give Is What You Get," and "You're In Love." Released in June 1985, Invasion Of Your Privacy peaked at number 7 on the Billboard 200, matching the success of their debut album, Out Of The Cellar. The album was a commercial success, selling over 2 million copies and was certified platinum less than six weeks after its release.
My Opinion: Personally, this is my favorite Ratt album. Between the drums, rhythm guitar, and lead guitar, it's a masterpiece. My favorite songs on here are "Lay It Down," "Between The Eyes," "What You Give Is What You Get," "You're In Love," and "Never Use Love." (Yes, I know I like a lot of songs on here.) I love the blend of acoustic and electric on Between The Eyes, and the drums in the last minute of "You're In Love." Overall, I think this is a no-skip album and I rate it a 10/10.

Overview: "Heartbeat City" is the fifth studio album by American music group The Cars. The Cars' lineup features Rick Ocasek (vocals, guitar), Benjamin Orr (vocals, bass), Elliot Easton (guitar, vocals), Greg Hawkes (keyboards, vocals), and David Robinson (drums). Singles on this album include "You Might Think," "Magic," "Drive," "Hello Again," "Why Can't I Have You," and "Heartbeat City." This album went quadruple platinum in the United States, and singles such as "Drive," and "You Might Think" reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the album peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200. "Heartbeat City" is classified as a new wave/pop rock/synth pop album.
My Opinion: Personally, this is my favorite album by The Cars, and I also am a firm believer that this album has no skips. My favorite songs on Heartbeat City are "Hello Again," "You Might Think," "If I Can't Have You," and "Heartbeat City." I recieved this on vinyl as a gift about two days ago, and I've already spun it 4 times. From the guitars, to fun keyboards, to vocals, this album is sure to take you on a fun journey from start to finish. This album is also perfect for those who enjoy 60s "Sodapop" music. Overall, I rate this album a 10/10.
